The Mercure-VMF 2015 Award goes to the listed Château de Sotteville
Since its purchase in 1943, a vast restoration program has been underway at the Château de Sotteville, located in the Manche département. Its distinctive blue shale roof with masonry joints makes for a complex and costly project. It also features numerous dormer windows, requiring work to be carried out at great heights.
The Groupe Mercure-VMF 2015 safeguarding award will enable the current project, begun in 2002, to continue, with the restoration of the bell-tower roof, one of the features that give this residence its charm.
